Senate vesterdav afternoon. After the invocation the Senators set- tied down to business and within a short time had completed their work for the- day. The Senate received eommuneiatione from the Governor similar to those received re-ceived by-the House. The one-regarding the forest reserve revenue was referred re-ferred to the Committees c Education and 5r! and Bridges. The other, which referred to Washington's appropriation appro-priation of $1,000,000 for the Alaska-Yukon Alaska-Yukon Pacific exposition, was referred to the Committee on Appropriations and Claims. A resolution 'by Psrk proposed the suditing of the books of the University and the 'Agricultural college. It was passed tinder a suspension of the rules. The communication from the House announcing the passage of House bill No. 47, dealing with the school census, was referred to the Committee on Education. Edu-cation.
