Show Women Painted 6000Years Ago SIX THOUSAND years sgo the "ladies" painted their cheeks snd pencilled their eyebrows, eye-brows, according to Dr. E. J. Banks, who conducted the expedition into Babylonia and helped dig up the ruin of some of tha ancient cities. In describing "Moderji Babylonia, and Its Buried Cities," Dr. Backs tens sbout many kinds of earthen wares found among the ruins of ths ancient dwellings. One kind of "twin" vases, he says, attracted especial atteslion because they show that the ladies painted then- cheeks and pencilled their eyebrows 8000 years ago, just about as some of them do today.
