Show Utah Senators Scramble to End Labors as Pay and Clock Stop; Anonymous Message Kills Bill THK clock In the aenate chamber waa alopped at exactly ll:4u o'clock today, the upper house failing In lis effort to complete Its work by noon on the sixtieth day of the fourteenth session. The senate will saunter until final adjournment la taken. During the morning session only one bill waa finally paed. This was the measure of Representative Kwenaon, relating to salaries of county officers. Two other bills mere considered for final passage, but were deferred until this afternoon. Several measures were cons'dered on the second reading calendar. The moat important action taken under this head 1 was the alaughter of H. B. No. MS. by lwla. which rewrote the atate fih and ' game law and Increased the salaxjes of game department officials. The measure had successfully passed the house and waa In a healthy state when It reached the senate. Pracctl- that the Iwis bill was a foodoneand should pass. Senator Lamph protested against the distribution of the anonymous slips and In his denouncement of the affair moved to strike the enacting clause from the measure. The motion ia adopted by a large majority. The administration measure Introduced Intro-duced in the house by Representative Seepmlller which creates a state rood commission of three members was passed by the senate.- The upper house agreed to reo de from Its amendments j adopted yesterday, fixing the tetm of j office of the commissioners at four years. The house refused to conrur In the senate amendment and a conference confer-ence committee waa appointed to atrike 'common ground" with a like committee commit-tee from the house.
