Show j Earl T. James was general chairman of the Lions' community commu-nity Christmas activities and the funds for the program were received re-ceived from the Bingham district activity fund. Despite wintery weather Monday, Mon-day, some 600 children turned out for the free show at Princess theatre sponsored by the C. I. O. No. 485, IUMM & S of Bingham. Students of Bingham Central, Copperl'ield, Highland Boy and Copperton grade schools were guests of their teachers at a free show at Princess theatre yesterday yester-day (Thursday). CHRISTMAS EVE PROGRAMREADIED Bingham Canyon's annual community com-munity Christmas program, sponsored spon-sored by Bingham Lions club, will close on Christmas Eve (tomorrow (to-morrow evening) with "a free show for youngsters from 3 to 13 years of age to be held at Princess Prin-cess theatre starting at 6:15 p.m. under direction of Harold Chesler. Ches-ler. Featuring the two hour entertainment en-tertainment will be a comedy and cartoon carnival and a visit from Santa Claus who will present each child with a sack of treats. Keeping order or (baby tenders) will be Carl Curtis, Robert Pul-lan, Pul-lan, Willard Nichols, Wm. Swain-ston Swain-ston and Earl T. James. Treats to be distributed are being prepared prepar-ed under direction of Leonard L. Miller and his committee. After the program, Santa Claus in company with Jack Householder House-holder and T. H. McMullin, members mem-bers of the Xmas shut-in committee commit-tee will visit children who, because be-cause of illness, could not attend the earlier program. Placing of lighted Christmas trees on poles at intervals all a-long a-long Main street was completed early this week under direction of Reed Kelly and his committee. Braces for holding the trees were furnished by Kennecott Copper. New, this year among the street decorations, the lighted trees did much to add to the community holiday atmosphere. |
