Dancing starts at 9 p.m. Good music. A New Year's Eve dance by the R. C. Gemmell club and BDAA will be held at the Gemmell club Saturday ev-ening, December 31. Special numbers were a vo-cal duet by Mrs. June Draper and Mrs. Mary Beth Walker; vocal solo by Emma Jean Star lev, ac-companied by chorus, vocal duet ly Joy Seal and Shirley Sonne, vocal solo by Ethel Mae Mangum accompanied by chorus, song by trio Timmy Giles, Don Fergu-son and Grant Fahrni, and vocal solo by Mrs. Reed. Narrator was Mrs. Jessie Nielsen. A one-a- ct play "Christmas at Casey's was also "given. BHS HOLIDAY BALL SCHEDULE GIVEN Bingham high school basket-ball team has scheduled several practice games during the holi-day season: with American Fork LIBRARY HOURS Bingham branch of the Salt Lake county library will close at 6 p.m. Christmas eve, December 24 and New Years' eve. Decem-ber 31. The library will also be closed all day Monday, Decem-ber 26 for Christmas and Mon-day, January 2, 1950 for New Year's day, announces Mrs. Gwen Knudsen, librarian. NOTICE Bingham Canyon post office will close at 12 noon tomorrow Saturday, December 24 and will bo closed all day Monday, December 26 in observance of Christmas, reoorts Earl T. Jam-es, postmaster. However Xmas gift parcels w;ll be delivered. The post office will also be closed Monday, January 2, in observance of New Year's day. Lee Halverson of West Jordan, formerly of Copperfield, spent Tuesday and Wednesday visiting with Garland Bray. Mrs. Tony Jaterka returned home Saturday from St. Mark's hospital in Salt Lake City. Valeta Nevers spent the week end visiting in Midvale with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Er-nest A. Ottley. During her stay she also visited with Mr. Max Prisby and family of Union tnd at the home of Mrs. Kyle Che-ney and family of Salt Lake. The Christmas program held at Copperfield school Wednesday night included a miniature can-dlelight service and a cantata presented by students of Copper-fiel- d school. Mon-day evening, December 19 they met at the Gemmell club and wont caroling, meeting after-wards at the Methodist church with two other older scout trops where they were served chili and hot chocolate. Favors were Xmas drums made of cookies. Songs and games were enjoyed the bal-ance of the evening. Tuesday, all the girls met at the club to re-ceive the gifts for parents and a stocking of candy and nuts.
