Show Ogden Probes, Nevada Death OGDEN Police Monday continued con-tinued their Investigation of local angles In the reported boxcar slaying slay-ing of an unidentified man whose body was found early Saturday in Wells, Nev. Detective Henry G. Allred Investigated In-vestigated the possibility that the slain man might have been an Ogden resident who hsd indicated his intentions to leave town by freight Friday. However, the Ogden Og-den man, whose description coincided coin-cided with that of the slain man except that his teeth are missing, was found here. "We have Investigated all available avail-able clues here, and It appears that the next step Is Identification of the man by Nevada authorities," authorit-ies," Clifford K. Keeter, captain of Ogden detectives, said Monday. Meanwhile, communications to Ogden police showed that a coroner's cor-oner's investigation revealed the man had been dead eight to ten hours, which would have placed the slaying at about Montello, Nev. The man was 30 to 35 years old, S feet 10 Inches tall, with dark complexion and dark hair, wearing wear-ing a sweat shirt with a light shirt over it. and a union suit Trousers were missing. Laundry marks on the shirt in two places were "XLB." Officers here were employing the laundry marks as a possible clue to the man's identity. |
