Show S.L Events In Brief DeMolay Presents Highest Awards to Three Salt Lakers THREE Salt Lake City men Sunday were awarded the highest order of the grand council of the Order of De Molay. The legion of honor was awarded H. Sterling Bailey, Dr. S. Frederick RaviU and R. C. Culp In recognition recogni-tion of outstanding leadership In civic and other fields of endeavor. All are former members of De Molay. Illness prevented Mr. Culp from receiving his award in person, per-son, but the other two were present pres-ent at the ceremony, which was In charge of Julius S. Daniels, Utah deputy for the grand council. M. DOUGLAS WOOD, who returned re-turned recently from presiding over the West German mission, spoke on the European situation situa-tion Sunday at the quarterly conference con-ference of Highland L. D. S. stake. Stayner Richards, president, was In charge of the meeting, at which the Swanee Singers furnished music. The evening meeting was a combined session of the stake and Lincoln ward. QUARTERLY con f e r e n c e of Grant stake Saturday and Sunday was addressed both days by An-tolne An-tolne R. Ivins of the L D. S. church first council of seventy. The combined com-bined stake choir furnished music. A CONCERT Sunday evening by Wade N. Stephens, L. D. S. tabernacle taber-nacle organist, celebrated completion comple-tion of work on a new chapel organ at the Sixteenth L. D. S. ward chapel, 131 North Fifth West street J. Spencer Cornwall, L. D. S. tabernacle choir director, was principal prin-cipal speaker. SPEAKER at the Rotary club meeting Tuesday at 12:15 p. m. at the Hotel Utah will be the Rev. John Edward Carver of Ogden. His subject will be "Rotary In 1939." Jules D. Roberta will preside. THIRD of a series of supervisory meetings of the Salt Lake board of education will be conducted November No-vember 37 at 4:15 p. m. at South high school. Dr. L.
