He had been offered 1100 and expenses, but turned down the offer because ha was afraid he'd jeopardise his amateur standing. stand-ing. He Is still nursing a cracked collarbone, suffered in his final game against Jackson, Tenn., high, at Memphis Saturday. Warner Brothers have offered him a free trip to Pasadena, Cal.. to attend the California-Alabama Rose bowl game January 1. but he hasn't decided whether he'll accept the invitation.
