A "no -elimination" basketball tournament; with the six teams of ths Skyline Six plus Regis college of Denver and Colorado State of Greeley will be played at Denver oa Dec. 8, and 10 and pairings for the affair were announced Saturday Sat-urday by E. L. (Dick) Romney, Skyline Six commissioner. This la the setup for the opening day: p.m. Utah vs. Colorado State; 7:30 pjn. Utah State vs. Denver: p.m. Brighsm Young vs. Regis; 10:30 p.m. Wyoming vs. Colorado A. and M. Winners of the first two games mentioned will play the next night along with the winners of the last two games listed. Then the winners win-ners of these two will play Satur- day -night, Dec 10 for the tourney championship. ' Three Games far All Romney and the other men on the games committee. Glen Jacoby of Wyoming and Ellison Ketchum of Denver, have not only arranged the usual consolation bracket for first-round losers, but also brackets for second round losers. Hence every team will play three games In the tournament, win or lose. The tournament will be held In the sparkling new University of Denver field house, which will seat upwards of 9000 tana. , Romney also snnounced Saturday Satur-day that Oswald Tower, secretary of the NCAA hoop rules committee com-mittee will be present at the coaches and officials clinic which will be held In Denver at the same time. Mr. Tower will lead a rules discussion with the coaches and officials at their separate sessions. Hs also will be oa hand to observe the officials actually working the games at the tournament. Work as Teumey All conference officials assigned to conference games will work at the tournament. The preseason conference basketball basket-ball tournament Is new this year and Is expected to attract sellout crowds every night in Denver. It Is difficult to say whether or not the teams will be gunning for the tournament crown with all that they have, but at least some comparison com-parison of the comparative strength of the teams will be possible after the meet. Strengthen Meet The addition of Regie and Colorado Colo-rado State tat expected to strengthen strength-en the tourney rather than weaken it. Colorado State was Rocky mountain conference champion last year while Regis, It will be remembered, won the four-state Fort Hays Invitational tourney last year and then went on to win the national Catholic Intercollegiate tournament and finish second in the 32-teamNAIB meet in Kansas City.
