Murano and Mrs. Richard Wilson entertained joint-ly with a birthday party honor-ing Jo Ann Murano and Alice Wilson on their seventh birth-days at the Eagles hall on Aug-ust 1 from two until four o'clock, The 30 small friends played mu sical charm, different games and danced. Lt. Col. Wright returned recently after 37 months over seas service and is now chief of personnel division at Chatham field, Ga. A social was given the after-noon of July 26 by the Bmgham LDS ward Relief society at the home of Mrs. Wilford H. Harris in honor of Mrs. T. A. Masters on her birthday. There were fourteen present. The afternoon was spent sewing and story tell-ing. A large birthday cake was centerpiece for the luncheon ta-ble. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Riley of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of Meeker, Colo., visited Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Prigmore from Sun-day until Tuesday. Mr. Prigmore and Mr. Riley were friends in Colorado 24 years ago and hadn't seen each other since that time. Mrs. Max Brisk accomDanied Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Davis of Copperton to Salt Lake Monday and visited Mrs. J. D. Ryan and Mrs. C. B. Duke. Mrs. Ed W. Johnson was at Riverton the afternoon of Aug-ust 2 to attend a party given by the retiring president of West Jordan LDS stake, Mrs. Evelyn Nielsen. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard L. Mill-er had as guests Friday evening Jimmy and Ann Stewart of Salt Lake City visited last week with their cousins at the John E. Dahlstrom home. The young-sters are children of Mr. and Mrs. J. Reed Stewart. Mrs. H. H. Hart, children Judy and Hal, of Chicago, and Mr, and Mrs. Preston W. Parkinson and three daughters were dinner guests Thursday evening of Mr. and Mrs. John Dahlstrom- Mrs. Hart and children remained to visit here several days. Mrs Jaek Smale and family of California. Lorraine Butt left Monday to return to California with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smale Monday for a two-wee- k visit Lorraine plans to visit her brother, Seaman 3C Clayton Butt, at San Diego. Ten members of the Catholic Ladies attended a dinner and theatre party in Salt Lake City Monday evening A joint business meeting of committee members and Girl Scout leaders was held at the home of Mrs. H. L. Garrity July 27 and light refreshments scr-- ; ved nine. Eight girls from Troop 96, Copperton Girl Scouts, and their leader, Mrs. William Ablett, d a hike July 25. A camp was built and weiners roasted and marshmallows toasted. The activity replaced the regular meeting. A pocket stew is plan-ned for next week. Copperton Girl Scouts plan to collect magazines soon for Red Cross placement in hospitals and on troop trains. Mr. and Mrs. Knudsen fished in the moun-tains near Huntington, returning home after an eight-da- y vaca-tion. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Fike and children, Mrs. Eugene Perrine and son, all of Murray, were dinner guests Wednesday at the W. A. Fike home. Jimmy Fike of Murray is vi-siting a few days at the W. home. Shirley Jewkes of Salt Lake is visiting Patty Lee Ffke this week. Mrs. J. G. Hadley of San Diego, Calif., is spending a week or two with Mrs. H. L. Garrity. Mrs- Joe A. Frisch of Oakland, Calif,, visited a few days this week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Long. Mrs. Stanley J. Long and Lin-da Jane of Bingham are spend-ing a week with Mr. and Mrs Glenn L. Long. Mrs. J. D. Stoddard and chil-dren and Mrs. Raymond Cow-del- l, Jack and Norma enjoyed an outing at Saratoga last Thursday. Van Buskirk of Gree-ley, Colo-- , visited Monday with Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen Mrs. Frye's son, Rodney, is a patient at Bushnell hospital. The visit-ors toured Bingham district while they were here. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Scroggin, Mrs. Max Scroggin and small son Dennis attended the wed-ding of Mrs. Ted Scroggin 'i niece, Donna Kirby, and Mr. Harold Brannan, both of Provo, last Sunday afternoon. The cere-mony was solemnized in the gar-den of the home of Mr- and Mrs. Mark Kirby, parents of the bride, Bishop Murdock officiated. Tuesday evening a family pic-nic was enjoyed in Little Cotton-wood canyon, the occasion being the birthday of Mrs. Kim Goff of Midvale. Present were Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Fennell, Harlow Fen-ne- ll of Copperton, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Harv, Mr. and Mrs. Reid Kellv of Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Kim Goff and son Gregory. Mrs. J. F. Barkle had as house guests this week Mrs. James No-ble and daughters Patsy and Kay, Mrs. Noble was formerly of Cristobal Canal but came here from Detroit. The family were en route to Los Angeles to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cunlilfe and children of Los Angeles spent Friday at the L. E Barnett home. Mrs. Betty Winn was hostess to the War Wives club Saturday evening, eight members being present. Faye McKellar was an invited guest.
