Show INSPECTION MADE OF PUBLIC PLACES City Health Officer Dr. F. E. i Straup and Mr. Lynch of the Utah state board of health eheck- ed all eating and drinking establishments estab-lishments in Bingham Canyon i Monday. Samples of all chlorine sterilizing steril-izing solutions were taken by Mr. Lynch. It was found after analyses was made that three out of nine of the samples taken were defective and were not strong enough to kill germs. Dr. Straup reports that establishments establish-ments using weak solutions will be notified, and if the condition is not corrected the names of violators will be published. Health Officer Straup is very ! much alarmed about the fly : conditions in Bingham Canyon. ; He has applied to the state health repartment for spray to be used i in garbage cans. If thus spray is obtainable it will be given to re- ; sidents to use. Dr. Straup states that the garbage man has been i instructed to replace lids on all ; cans. All residents having cans without lids are asked to obtain lids. There is a city ordinance that requires lids for garbage containers. Dr. Straup says that the state law requiring screen 'doors on I all grocery, eating and drinking j establishments will be enforced I in Bingham Canyon. Bingham's health officer reports re-ports that one case of infantile paralysis was sent into the Salt Lake County isolation ward this week. The case was from out- ! of-town. |
