He added, however, how-ever, that they are living In a world where marriage Is leas sacred, divorce is more common and education is mors universal. You have great Jobs to do and you might just ss well be realistic . . live Modestly The churchman urged the educators edu-cators to teach youth to live modestly mod-estly and to prsy. "Late hours and automobiles have made it easy for boys and girls to get Into trouble." he , warned. "Nearly all youth troubles occur after midnight. Generally youtha do not Intend to do more than a little 'necking.' " He said it was not good teaching to place seeds of doubt in the minda of youth. Approximately S00 seminary teachers from the United Statea and Canada are attending the sessions, ses-sions, which will end Sundsy. To Honor Authority Dr. Franklin L. West, commissioner commis-sioner of education, L D 8 church, who conducted the meeting, told the spiritual educators that "your job is to teach youth to honor authority." He also discussed the struggle of free institutions and the forces of control. A classroom demonstration waa held. Discussions and a variety of subjects by teachers took place at the afternoon session. An informal dinner will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at the L D S Institute of Religion adjacent to the University of Utah. Sunday sessions will begin at 9 a.m. |
