Previously Arcade Ar-cade had declsioned Jack Howard, but had been declsioned by Henry Mobley and knocked out In June by Collins. Ernie's claim to ths Intermountain Intermoun-tain title is ths result of his decision deci-sion ovsr Tommy Lynch of Montana Mon-tana a week after the Reno scrapper scrap-per had stopped Pearce ia five rounds; Lynch gained a draw with Collins in a come-back attempt in November. Pearce, who recently has modified modi-fied his "slam-bang-swlng-f rom-anywhere" rom-anywhere" style somewhat in attempting at-tempting to perfect a Jab, Is typically typi-cally unpredictable. Collins, ranking rank-ing twenty-fourth among the world's light-heavyweights, la a cool ring general who Is most dangerous dan-gerous when hurt, has a crouching, talking styls which Is difficult to stop. Both hit with tremendous force, and a real punching bout is anticipated. Bland swings freely and Harvey Har-vey Is a fine defensive fighter. Benny Ben-ny Flake faces Johnny Cttndia in another six-rounder which should produce plenty of action.
