St. Paul and United States 8teel preferred were firm. Slight rallies lifted some of the Western stocks and specialties special-ties to Saturday's final prices. Dealings were' very small, and the average av-erage did not exceed a small fraction. The assembling of the Supreme court was awaited. Bonds were extremely, dull end heavy at noon. Profit-taking on a small scale tn Atchison Atchi-son snd Amalgamated had only a slight effect on prices, and there was a subsequent subse-quent hardening all around.
