C, March 23. -Senator Kearns headed a delegation from Alaska yesterday to th White House to try to Interest President Roosevelt in needed legislation for the Territory. He presented Judge Ivey and D J. Sullivan,-wealthy Sullivan,-wealthy mining men of Alaska. The Senator suggested that the President Presi-dent Indicate to the Speaker of . the House the necessity for setting a day of the present session to consider legislation legisla-tion for the Territory. He explained that It was important that -something should be done to give Alaska representation in Congress. The Territory la largely populated popu-lated with Americans whose property interests in-terests are extensive and important.
