Several Senators and rnejnbers of the House of Representatives from Western States have held conferences with President Roosevelt concerning h!s' approaches tour of the West and Northwest. Dates for the President's visits to cities of the several States t,p be included in his Journey were discussed. The party will leave Washington on the morning of April 1st. and will proceed pro-ceed directly via the Pennsylvania railroad rail-road to Chicago, arriving there the next morning. April 2nd will be spent in Chicago, but the programme for the President's entertainment there has hot been completed. ; . Through . Wisconsin. ' From Chicago the President will go to Madison, Wis., where, on the morn- , lng of . the 3rd, he will address the Legislature in the State House. Thence he will go to Waukesha, and then to Milwaukee. He will be entertained at . a banquet by the Merchants and Manufacturers' Manu-facturers' association of Milwaukee. The next morning, aftr a two hours' stop at La Crosse, the President will go to St. Paul, . and thence to Minneapolis, Minne-apolis, leaving the latter city lata that eight and arriving in Sioux Falls, S. D., the next morning. After a brief stop there he will go to Yankton, Mitchell and Aberdeen, 8. D.. and Edg-ley, Edg-ley, N. XX On the morning of April 7th he will reach Fargo, N. Pu and during that day will visit Jamestown, Bismarck Bis-marck and'Medorft, all in North pa-kota, pa-kota, He will Visit Livingston, Mont, on Wednesday, APfU Ith, and will arrive at Cinnabar. Mont, at noon of that day, Cinnabar is at the entrance to the Yellowstone park. The presidents train will be' side-tracked there until Friday. April 2th. President Roosevelt, Roose-velt, accompanied by Secretary Root and John Burroughs, the poet-naturalist ef New York, who ha been Invited to accompany the party on the trip, will make an extended tour of the Yellowstone Yel-lowstone National park under the guidance guid-ance of MaJ. P)tcher. the park superintendent. superin-tendent. On this trip, the President will be' escorted by a picked detail of soldiers. It is understood that Secretary Secre-tary Loeb and , the other members of the President's party will remain on the train at Cinnabar during the President's Presi-dent's absence, but communication will be maintained with the President daily during his absence. Thence to Nebraska. On Friday, April 24th. the President will leave Cinnabar, and after passing spend May tb in a manner suitable to Memorial day, and will rejoin his train at Cheyenne. Sunday, May 81st. will be passed at Cheyenne. . On Monday, June 1st. the trip homeward to Washington will begin. The only stop that day will be at North Platte, Neb. The President will enter Iowa on the morning of June 2nd. touching at Council Bluffs. DenBlson. Fort Dodge. Cedar Falla and Dubuque. At the last-named place he wlli spend the night. , The next morning he will make brief stops at Freeport, Rockford. Rochelle. Aurora. Jollet, Ponti-ae. Ponti-ae. Lexington and Bloomlngton, all in Illinois. The night of June 3rd will be spent at Bloou lngton. ... , On June 4th he will visit Lincoln. IU-. Thence he will proceed directly to Washington, making only necessary stops and arriving arriv-ing here on the evening of Friday,-June During the trip the President will make many speeches. A majority of them, quite naturally, will be delivered from the platform plat-form of his car, but many of them will be sustained efforts of notable Importance- . through Livingston, Mont., and Billings, Bill-ings, will arrive at Alliance, Neb., late in tbe afternoon of April 25th. . After a short stop, there he will proceed to Grand Island, Neb, . where the party will spend Sunday. During Monday, April 27th, the President will visit in the order named,. Hastings. Lincoln, Fremont and Omaha. He will spend tbe night at Omaha, and will reach Shenandoah. Ia., early on the morning of the 28th. During that day he will make brief stops at Clarinda, Van Wert, Osceola, Des Moines, Oskaloosa, aU in Iowa. . Passing Pass-ing the night on the train, the President Presi-dent will arrive at Keokuk. Ia., oh the morning of the 29th. On the 29th he will visit Cjulncy, 111.; Hannibal. Mo.; Louisiana, Mo., and Clarkaville, Mo. He will arrive in St. Louis late In the afternoon. That night and April 3rd- the President will remain in St. Louis participating in the ceremonies cere-monies incident to the dedication of the Louisiana Purchase exposition grounds. He will arrive at Kansas City on the morning of May 1st. and will remain there several nours, visiting Kansas City, Kan.; Lawrence, Kan., and Topeka the same day. .The night will be spent at Topeka. Journey Through Kansaa. He will make brief stops the next day at Manhattan, Junction City, Abilene, Sa- Una, Ellsworth, KusselU Hays and Wake-ney. Wake-ney. and arrive at Sharon Springs, Kan., late In the evening. Sunday will be spent at that place. On Monday, tbe 4th. he will visit Cheyenne Chey-enne Wells, Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Trinidad, all in Colorado. He will be in Santa Fe and Albuquerque on Tuesday, May 6th. Aria., on the night of May 6th, the President will proceed to Barstow, CaL, arriving there the morning of May 7th. Redlands and San Bernardino, Cel., will be visited, and be will arrive at Riverside late that day and will spend the night there. On May 8th he wilt stop at Claremont and Pasadena, Cel., reaching Los Angeles early In the afternoon, where he will remain re-main until tbe next morning. On May 9th he will visit Ventura. Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. Sunday, May 10th, will be spent at Monterey) Mon-terey) Cat. FaJara. Santa Crux and San Jose will be visited on Monday, May llta. During the morning of May 12th tha Provident will tnn at Pain Altn and Burllngame, and will arrive at San Francisco Fran-cisco early in the afternoon. The remainder re-mainder of that' day and Wednesday and Thursday. May 13th and 14th, will be spent in San Francisco. The President and party will then go to Kaymond, Cel., where four days will be spent In the Yosemlte valley and Big' Tree region. On the morning of Tuesday. May 19th, the President wlU enter Nevada, Ne-vada, stopping at Reno and Carson. In the Webfoot State-That State-That evening he wlU return to California Califor-nia for a few hours' stay in 8acramento. On Wednesday. May 20th, he will be at Redding and Slsson, Cal, and at Ashland, Or. Thursday morning. May 21st, he will spend at Sale-n, Or., reaching Portland early that afternoon, where he will remain re-main until the next morning. From Portland the President will go into Washington, stopping at Cheharis, Centralia, Olympla and T acorn. At Ta-coma Ta-coma the President and the entire party will take a boat trip Saturday, May 23rd. on Puget sound, touching at Bremerton and Everett, the trip, ending at Seattle late that afternoon. The special train will be run empty from Tacoma to Seattle. Sunday. May Mtb, will be passed In Seattle. Se-attle. Other 'Washington cities will be visited on May 25th and in this order: EJlsburg, North Yakfma, "Pasco, Wallula and Wail a Walla.
