Show MAYOR PUT IN JAIL . BY CHIEF OF POLICE Was First Victim of His Own Orders to Arrest Any Drunken Han. DESHLER. O., March 12. Mayor J. R Smith, arrested on his own orders by his own Chief of Police, spent a night In Jail and was arraigned next morning in Justice court on .the charge of drunken- "two weeks sgo the residents of Desh ler had a snallpox scare, and the Mayor, who is the editor of the Flag, a weekly newspaper.
