Show Enact a Law Against Corridor-Kissing. While the City Council has its dragnet at work searching for Legislative ideas, that will promote the comfort and convenience of citizens, why not frame and pass an ordinence against love-making ia the corridors of the big office buildings of Salt Lake. Men who make love to their stenographers and girl tierks usually choose the quietude of their private offices for this diversion, but tenants of more than one building are complaining that certain business men make a practice of kissing their pretty typewriter type-writer girls in the hallways. One gay and festive broker who employs thirteen pretty girls in his mail department is said to be remarkably expert in this game of corridor-kissing. This broker is probably unmarried. He needs a wife to attend to him. But, seriously, such things are not conducive to good business bus-iness judgment in those who unwillingly witness the act, for they go into their offices and keep thinking think-ing about the luck of the other fellow. Unquestionably Unquestion-ably the Council should take this matter up and enact a stringent law against corridor-kissing. Down with the man who has thirteen stenographers and hugs them all. Such conduct is certain to demoralize demoral-ize the girl-less tenants of the office buildings. And, with the envious and crusty old bachelors, we say: Abate this public nuisance! |
