Show SLEPT WHILE RAT GNAWED OFF HIS EAR ANDERSON.- Ind., Nov. 7. A rat gnawed oft a. part of Charles Lancy's " ear while he slept in his home north of this city. To a local physician he . said that when he was awakened by a stinging: sensation in the lobe of one of his ears he placed his hand to it and found it . bleeding-. Then he discovered that the upper part ' of his ear was badly - gnawed, and he is confident that a rat did it. Lancy explained that he went to bed very cold and sleepy, and he presumes that he slept so soundly that he did not feel the pain until the rat had taken a good bite. The ear was carefully dressed to avoid blood poisoning. |
