Show 100 LINEMEN STILL OUT Conference Does Rot Settle Set-tle Trouble Between Company and Men. About 100 linemen, comprising the outside out-side force of the Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone company, employed in and near Salt Lake, have quit work, owing to an alleged grlevanre against the company over the wages paid to one man. Sub-foremen in charge of small gangs of men. and who are held responsible for the work done by these gangs, receive 39 cents per hour, while linemen of six months' employment receive 3b cents. Three men have been working near Murray and these allege that one of their number has been acting as sub-foreman without receiving the extra compensation. Manager Murray said this morning that the mun In question was not a sub-foreman, and that the men walked out without with-out any discussion or statement of their supposed grievance to the officials of the company. lie suid thut a conference wus hold between those who claim to have boen aggrieved ag-grieved anil the officials this morning, but that no satisfactory conclusion was reached.
