HOLD JAPANESE GIRL AS WITNESS United States Marshal Smyth yesterday yester-day placed under arrest Honda Tsura, one of the youngest Japanese girls In Victoria avenue, and Is holding ber as a witness against Sugiura, who Is charged with holding three Japanese girls in bondage. The girl Is apparently much frightened fright-ened at her plight, but seems more afraid to tell what she knows. When asked about 8ugiura she replies that he is the "cook," and nothing more can be gained from her. Sbe claims to be married to a Japanese laborer by the name of Kanoko, but this is doubted by tha officers. Immigration Inspector Longley visited vis-ited Victoria avenue Monday and endeavored en-deavored to secure evidence from the other Japanese women there, but all refused to talk about their relations with Sugiura.
