Show LOST IN AST0RM Two Men Wander Fourteen Four-teen Hoars in Snow on Soldier's Summit Dr. Hector Griswold and Frank Jar-dine Jar-dine bad . an experience on Soldier's Summit Sunday that nearly resulted In the death of Dr. Griswold. - The men left for Soldier's Summit early Sunday morning to look over some mining properties In which both are Interested, and both -were lost In a blinding snowstorm which began soon after they left the tram. They wandered about the mountains for twelve hours,. when Dr. Griswold sank from exhaustion. Mr. Jardine saw a light glimmering In the distance. He made Dr. Griswold as comfortable as possible and hastened to the light, which was In the cabin of C. A. Ewlng, a miner. Swing and Jardine made all haste to the fescue of Griswold, who was taken to the cabin and revived. The men bad been out in the storm for fourteen hours without food or water. wa-ter. They returned to the city Monday afternoon, and Dr. Griswold was forced to take to bis bed. He will suffer no serious se-rious effects from bis long exposure, it is thought. |
