Show CODY BANDITS ARE STILL UNDER COVER CASPER, Wyo., Nov. 8. Sheriff Webtt and party returned to Casper this afternoon after-noon from the Northwest, where they went In pursuit of the bandits' who attempted at-tempted to hold up the First National bank of Gody, and killed Cashier Mld-dfeugh. Mld-dfeugh. Not a trace of the outlaws was diKcovered. and It Is the opinion of the officers that they have effectually escaped. es-caped. Nothing was seen of either the Kenton, Stough or the Johnson county posses. After election Sheriff Webb may take the trail araln. Information from Meeteetse Is to the effect that two men of that place have been placed under suspicion of having assisted as-sisted in the escape of the band'.?. It is rumored that they met the outlaws as they approached Meeteetse and supplied them with provisions and ammunition. It Is also reported that they will be arrested and charged with compllcltyvln the crime of Rttetrtntlne to rob ihe bartlc. l |
