He has a match . with Major Taylor in Australia on Christmas day and. is prevented from riding any match races before that event Lawson's trip abroad netted him over $5000, which is about three times as much as he could have made in this country. Lawson will probably return to Salt Lake for ffew weeks' visit In the spring, but has not decided on his plans for next season. He has had a number of good. offers to ride abroad sgain, but has not closed definitely with r' Anyone. The diamond medal from his Salt Lake admirers, for which the big meet was held at the Salt Palace, will be presented to him today or tomorrow. Lawson says be has been riding faster than ever before, and looks in the belt of health and condition. |
