Show FAIRBANKS LEAVES FOR GOLDEN GATE ROSEBL'RQ, Or.. Oct 3. Senator Fairbanks Fair-banks went to the Presbyterian church yesterday and heard a sermon from Corinthians Co-rinthians xv, 31 by Rev. J. A. Towniend, ptstor of the church. He was accompanied accompa-nied by Senator Fulton and Congressman Hermann, whose hme is at this place. The sermon was devoid of political reference ref-erence and there was no demonstration beyond a few personal presentations to Senator Fairbanks. After the services Senators Fairbanks and Fulton and Mr. Hermann were driven-around driven-around the town, leaving at 1 o'clock for San Francisco and Intermediate points. SenaMor J. P. Dolliver was compelled to leave the party at Portland on account of a severe cold contracted a few days ago. which has- continued to grow wor?e until his power of speech has become affected. af-fected. Senator Charles W. Fulton of Oregon has taken Senator Dolllver's place as a member of the party, and will accompany ac-company Senator Fairbanks during the i remainder of his tour. |
