Show For tha LitUt ChLIdrca. V The Children's Aid and HomeFinding association associa-tion has made an appeal' to the public for aid that fhould meet a hearty response. It has appointed a ways and means committee of well-known men and women who are easy of access. Every one can find them, and there should be no excuse for neglecting the duty we all owe to this most worthy charity. . LET'S GET A! LITTLE OP TEE SELFISH NESS OUT OF US. Let's try to remember how we felt at Christmas time. T,he Christmas spirit was a happy one to be in, wasn't it? Doing something for others' was worth the- while, don't you think? THEN WHY NOT KEEP THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT WITH YOU; THROUGHOUT THE 'YEAR? There is no better way than by doing a little to help the little children who. through no fault of their own are left dependent upon the world. THEY ARE THE HELPLESS. VICTIMS OF -TRAGEDIES OF SOCIETY. Sickness, death or the divorce court has robbed thejai of parents. MUST THEY THEN BE ROBBED OF THE JOYS OF CHILDHOOD and be made old before their time? IS THERE ONE OF US SO WORLDLY AND SO HARDENED THAT HE DOES NOT SOMETIMES SOME-TIMES THINK. OF THE GOLDEN DAYS OF CHILDHOOD AND. RECALL TTTEM AR TWr HAPPIEST OF HIS LIFE? If there is, God pity him, for.no appeal for these little ones or for anything any-thing else is' likely to touch him. But those of us who do-remember that enchanted world wherein trouble and sorrow-and hardship were unreal and happiness and Santa Clans and the fairies and love were the real things should see to it that these babies ba-bies for whom aid is asked do not beconie disillusioned disillu-sioned too soon. - ' THINK WHAT A LITTLE SELF-DENIAL ON THE PART . OF EVERY READER OF THIS WOULD MEAN TO THOSE TOTS. ISN'T IT WORTH DOING ? |
