Bradford Brad-ford Clark, Jr., who, the police allege, secured se-cured thousands of dollars from victims in all parts of the country within the last few months by promising that he could show them how to beat the races, was held In Brooklyn Police court today at the reoNiest of central office detectives, who arrested him at his office in the Court etreet building. Is a well-known swindler, and hns his picture In the rogues' gallery. The prisoner recognized his picture and acknowledced his identity. lietectlves Brady and McClusky, who made the arrest, claim that they have the names of thousands of victims, and fully five hundred letters from Western people who were patrons of Clark during the past threa months, asking for some return on their investments. Clark is a good-looking, well-dressed man. 35 years old. The police today have the names of several Fait Lake people whom they claim are victims of the swindle. |
