Show STORM WARNINGS TO ALL COAST POINTS x WASHINGTON, Sept. 27. Th weather bureau today reported that th tropical disturbance has reached thf Mississippi and southeastern Louisiana coasts, where it is central this morning as a storm of great severity. Reports from Mobile and Pensacols are missing by reason of the general prostration of telegraph wires in ths storm-swept territory. High winds and rain prevail ore! Alabama, Mississippi and southern Louisiana, a maximum velocity of forty-eight forty-eight miles an hour from the northwest being reported this morning from New Orleans. The tropical disturbance will probably proba-bly move northward during the next twenty-four hours and cause general rains cast of the Mississippi and south of the Ohio, attended by nigh winds in the lower Mississippi valley, the East Gulf States and probably Tennessee. . Storm warnings are displayed on thi Atlantic coast from Norfolk to Jacksonville Jackson-ville and on the Gulf coast from New Orleans to the northern portion of western west-ern Florida coast. " |
