"Tourist traffic." said the local officials offi-cials of the Salt Lake & Los Angeles road today, "is the greatest ever known in the history of the line.-" All the trains goine to Los Angeles are loaded to their fullest capacity. Berths are being engaged for a long period ahead, and it is almost impossible impos-sible to furnish accommodations for the great rush of passengers. JTJiis is true of all the lines going to the coast. San Francisco is drawing a far larger number of tourists than one would expect ex-pect the conditions in that city would wsrrant. There is an unusual movement to Portland and Seattle, but in the opinion opin-ion of local railroad men Los Angeles ' is rapidly relegating all its competitors to a second place and is becoming the great tourist drawing center of the United States. Tourist travel this year is incomparably greater Jhan last year. |
