Show BEARS CONTROL MARKET ON THE MINING EXCHANGE On the Salt Lake mining exchange this morning trading was active and; bidding lively, but he bears ..nevertheless controlled con-trolled in several instances. Nevada Hills, yesterday a bull feature on the transactions,' suffered a decline, going down to IS, a loss of IS cents from the highest point gained the previous day. One sale of 3160 shares was made at S3. Other . declines . were - experienced In - loaders of the last few days, Columbus Consolidated being among these. One ' hundred shares of Montgomery Mountain war sold at S2.72H. and 1000 Jumping Jack at - 25 cents, each being . movements la shares whloh have not been active on the exchange recently. - It was regarded as an Indication of a forthcoming forthcom-ing general movement of stocks, whloh have been dormant. A heavier demand for New York at concessions resulted in considerable trading, trad-ing, included In which were 140 shares at 10 cents, eleven shares at 80 cents, 1000 shares at 30 cents, seller sixty days, and 2800 shares at 31 cents. Five hundred shares of Uncle Sam brought 40ft cents, and 700 shares went at 41 cents. The American Mining oompany has been organised to develop a vela recently discovered dis-covered one and one-half miles east of Logan, Utah, and which the promoters believe will disclose rich gold deposits. The new company com-pany includes Oscar Borkman, W. F. Normandy. Nor-mandy. John M. Wilson, Emll Anderson, George. W. Llndqulst and W. Q. Anderson. The Buckskin district of Nevada Is rejoicing re-joicing in the possession of a new shipping property known as tbe Kennedy Consolidated, whose ore is carrying $10 to $S0 per ton and is free milling in character. .From the Death Valley and Palmetto group, says the Llda Enterprise, there Is being be-ing hoisted dally five tons ot ore worth 360 per ton. The Doane-Latham syndicate is operating this property. From the E. and F. mines cames a report yesterday of a big strike carrying 60 per cant copper on the 400-foot level. Ernest Bamberger Is again at his desk after a visit to the White Pine region ot Nevada. A new strike in the Horn Silver mine at Frisco was reported yesterday, which may eventually Influence the taking of a place by this ancient bonanza again as high-grader. The 700-foot level north wss credited with having been the seat of tbe discovery, whose extent, however, is not yet known. It runs way-up in the big figures, much of which Is gold as well as silver. Manager Farnsworth is Jubilant naturally, but hesitates to make tbe exact figures of the strike known until more is learned by the management concerning it. Sbipmeots from this property have bees - uninterrupted for years, out they were principally prin-cipally "average ore." from which not nearly near-ly the big dividends tbe Horn Sliver once paid (to the extent ot almost $6,000,000 la the aggregate) could be expected.
