Involving the mining mi-ning property known as .the Pride of the Mountains, located in the Monte Christo district, Snohomish county, which has been before the courts for fourteen years. The decision of the court finds for the plaintiffs, of whom .Mr..Wllmans is one, in the sum of 1176.000. The -Pride of 'the Mountains mine was sold by the late Hiram Q., Bond, Wllman's brothers and Edward Blew-ett. Blew-ett. to Colgate Hoyt and Charles U -Colby, who. were the agents of John D. Rockefeller, and the suit was brought against Colby as such agent The consideration con-sideration was to be $350,000. of which $175,000 was paid in cash and the balance was to be paid out of the proceeds pro-ceeds of the mine or by the purchas-ersffl purchas-ersffl in the event of the $175,000 remaining re-maining unpaid, a certain period, the property was to revert to the original owners, plaintiffs in the suit. ' More than 160,000 tons of ore, which yielded returns of from $10 to $20 per ton, in gold, silver, copper and arsenic, were taken out. |
