Halloran in East '.Becond South street, which was seized -upon by a morning paper as a basis of 'attack upon the American administra-Jtion, administra-Jtion, Architect C. M. Neuhausen said jthe building was designed and is being constructed strictly in accordance with ;the city ordinance governing the con-iBtruction con-iBtruction of buildings, and that Building Build-ing Inspector Gamble was following 'the law In approving the structure. I Mr. Neuhausen has designed most of I the large buildings in the city. He . Was a member of the last Council and Is thoroughly familiar with the building build-ing laws. While the Halloran build-lng build-lng may not be absolutely fireproof, he Bald, there is no law to force him t)o niake it so, even though other buildings build-ings in the same vicinity are not similarly simi-larly safe. |
