" The . pathetic love story of Kathle and the yearnings of the Crown Prince for a simpler life, the restraint of court life and the rollicking freedom of college days, as depicted in Richard Mansfield s great play, ''Old Heidelberg," will be the feature at the Orphsum for the next two evenings. Herschel Mayail will interpret the role of Karl Helnrlch and Miss Julia Stuart as Kathle will repeat her artistic triumph of a couple of weeks ago. "Dora Thorne." ever a favorite, will be the offering of the Ethel Tucker Stock company at the Grand tonight and will doubtless prove as attractive as ever. "Dora Thorne" will run for the remainder re-mainder of the week. The Jane Kelton company is playing to the largest business of the season at Casino park, and the crowds this week are enormous. Moving pictures and dancing danc-ing specialties are given between the acts that please the audience. Particular attention at-tention is called to the fact that on cold or stormy nights the show will be given In the Lyric theater. . . Thousands of tourists from all over the world have spread the soothing strains of the famous melody of Hawaii. "Aloha Oe." which la sung by the people of Hawaii Ha-waii as a farewell whenever one starts on a Journey. A feature of the departure of all steamships frpm Honolulu is the playing of the "Aloha Oe" by the famous Royal Hawaiian band and the stnging of the song by everyone present at the departure de-parture of the ships. A feature; of the concerts to be given here by the famous Royal Hawaiian band will be the rendering render-ing of the "Aloha Oe" by the solo singer. Miss Lei Lehua. accompanied by the band, stringed orchestra and the choir of twenty-five male voices. The Jtoyal Hawaiian Ha-waiian band, numbering sixty people, is making its first tour of this country, and will be beard here in conoerts at Saltalr for the musical festival week to commence com-mence next Monday afternoon. |
