When the Interstate Commerce commission resumed Its session today Commissioner Clements announced that the commission would alt in Washington on June 21. when the railroad rail-road companies which have been under investigation will be permitted to make any atatement or ' present any defense they may desire. Murray, B. A O. railroad; L. E. Johnson, Norfolk & Western; George W. Stevens. Chesapeake Chesa-peake A Ohio; W. H. Newman. New York Central; and A. G. Yates, Buffalo, Rochester A Pittsburg railroad. . E. B. Whitney, assistant counsel for the commission, filed a statement furnished by W. H. Smith, general manager of the New York Central road concerning the number of sidings placed on the Pennsylvania Pennsyl-vania division in 1906, together with those denied and the reasons for the company'a refusal to place them. |
