Show PACE AT THE SAUCER IS ONE THAT KILLS The pace at the saucer track is a strong one. and many of the riders have found themselves up against a hard game. For that reason some of the men have packed their duds and skidooed for Denver, where they expect to land on something softer. Six men have bid the local track good-bye and have piked down the oad in the direction of Denver. Tha men who have gone are Wilcox, Gunn, Agrax, Achorn, Shadduck and Rosenblatt. A J. Payment is the manager of the Denver track, but it is likely that J. P. Gunn will secure the track. If such is the case he may take away a few of the speedy ones from the local trac. The races this evening offer as interesting interest-ing a programme as has yet been given. The flret Australian pursuit race of the season will be given. Palmer and Pye. the two Australians, will be entered in one of the contests and Bardgett and Fol-ger Fol-ger will be entered in the other. The card also contains a two-mile handicap, prof esslenal ; one-half-mile open, professional; profes-sional; one-half-miie open handicap, amateur; one-mile open, amateur. |
