Show Salt Lakers Cat Busy. The active steps taken by business men as well as lodge representatives show that Salt Lake intends in-tends making a hard fight to secure the Pacific headquarters of the Woodmen of the World. This will carry with it a new office building to cost at least $100,000, and will bring to Salt Lake about 100 new families, as the headquarters will give employment em-ployment to more than that number of people. The Woodmen of the World has a large membership mem-bership in the Western States, and it is fitting that the headquarters for the Pacific jurisdiction should be in Salt Lake, as it is more nearly central to the district than any other available place. Several meetings have been held of real estate men and members of the Commercial dub, and feteps have been taken to send large delegation1) from Utah camps to the convention in Los Angeles next month. Degree teams, from at least four camp will go, and one or more bands will accompany the delegations.. A committee to solicit funds has been organ- ized and the response to the call for subscriptions to defray the expenses of the trip should be prompt and liberal, as the headquarters will bring thousands thou-sands of dollars in pay each month to Salt Lake. |
