Show BRIGHAIC STREET PAVING ' IS BONE OF CONTENTION. Brlgham street paving still continues to be the bone of contention between Col. E. A. Wall, chairman of the Board of Public Works, and City Engineer George W. Riter.1, Each claims that the work is not being done according to plans selected by the City Council; each claims that the deviation is the fault of the other; each claims that the bill of "extras" sure to fall upon the Innocent taxpayer as a result re-sult of these deviations Is chargeable to the other, and each is .vigorously seeking to show the Council that the other alone Is blameworthy, ! This trouble came to a focus at a secret meeting, held last Saturday afternoon, of the .Engineering coramltten of the Council. Coun-cil. The committee recommended the contending officials to hereafter file all communications. |
