Miller's white automobile started a reign of terror in the vicinity of the Miller tennis ten-nis court last week that would beat the reputation won by William K. Vander-bllt's Vander-bllt's "White Ghost" machine, that was at one time the terror of the seashore. Adjoining the tennis court is a frame "building equiped.with a shower bath and other appliances for the use of players. Adjoining the building is the garage where Mr. Miller stores his automobile. au-tomobile. Kecently the machine refused to work and Mr. Miller left the propelling wheel on while he went to get a wrench,. He returned a moment later to see a young man. scantily clad, running run-ning over the tennis court and shouting shout-ing things to himself. Surprised at the man's actions, Mr. Miller ran to him. Together they returned to the clubhouse club-house to find that the automobile had decided to move, and had done so to the extent of taking the partition out of the building and running Into the shower bath where the young man was. Both laughed when the young man was restored to hil clothes. Then they smoked and laughed. No damage was done to the machine, and the damage done to the clubhouse was slight.
