After opposition on the part of a number of delegates, the Industrial "Workers of the World adopted ' their constitution here by a vote of 42,714 against 6695 and concluded conclud-ed their convention. Delegate D. C. Coates, president of the American Labor La-bor union; Delegate Alexander Fair-grieve Fair-grieve of Montana and other constitutional constitu-tional obstructionists in the convention made a strong fight against the constitution consti-tution as It was adopted, but the radical rad-ical element, which included several Socialists, had everything Its own way. When Delegate Fairgrleve's name was called in the balloting on the con-f!i?t,on con-f!i?t,on he vote1 no. '-and declared that hnould report , to 4000 members of his Miners" union In Montana that the constitution con-stitution which they had adopted made the organization worse and gave it even more tyrannical powers than the American Amer-ican Federation of Labor. |
