Marrine in answer an-swer to the charges made by her husband, hus-band, E. II. Marrine. in a divorce suit filed several weeks ago. She asserts that Marrine is of a Jealous, suspicious and extremely sensitive disposition and that he has Insisted .on his stepdaughters accompanying ac-companying him to places of amuiement and that he has forbidden them to go out with their relatives. She declares that upon their refusal to obey his commands, he would fly Into a passion and on several occasions would leave the house for days at a time. Mrs. Mai line says that about four months ago one of the daughter went to n meeting with her cousin. She savs that Marrlne became angry and his wife was compelled com-pelled to Interfere to prevent an attempt-rd attempt-rd chastisement. Mrs. Marrlne admits that she owns a house worth $1,100 but denies that she la In receipt of an Income of $1." a month, but asserts that he receives It or ?5 a month repairing overalls a l 4 cents a pair. She denies that her daughter receives re-ceives 145 a month as a bookkeeper, averring aver-ring that it Is only $1 a month. , She denies that Marrlne has been treated treat-ed with cruelty by her. She alleges that his shoe business is worth $1 and he receives an Income of IS a day from It. The defendant contends that the divorce di-vorce should be granted to her. that she should be decreed a half interest In the shoe business, J30 a month aMmony and $70 attorney's fees. |
