Show F10RE THHN ICO SUITS SETTLED OUT OF COUIit During the course of the hearing of the damage suit commenced by Andrew Thompson against the Utah Consolidated Consoli-dated Mining: company yesterday. It was brought out in the evidence that the smelter company has settled more than 100 damage cases outside of court. The J Jury in the case yesterday brought In a verdict for $200 in favor of Thompson against the company, which Is the owner of the Highland Boy smelter. Thompson was suing in Judge Lewis' court for $750 damages to his crops and $1000 for - damages done to the health of himself and family. In the first cause of action, the damages were assessed as-sessed at $200 and nothing was given In the second cause of action. . Judge Lewis will continue to hear all the smelter damage suits now pending in the District court. |
