Show NEW METHODIST CHURCH (flBY BE OPENED APRIL I; A HANDSOME STRUCTURE The Sunday-school room is divided Into classrooms and the infant class will occupy oc-cupy the lecture-room In the basement, which has a seating capacity of 600. The church Is constructed on the Institutional In-stitutional plan and leading from the lecture-room in the basement and connected con-nected by folding doors is a commodious commodi-ous dining-room. Next to this Is a kitchen -and pantry. Connected with the dining-room by a hallway are ladles' and gentlemen's cloakrooms. The kitchen will have a gas range and' all modern equipment. The entire building will be furnace heated, electric lighted and will have the best of furnishing. The organ will be operated by electricity. The pews and woodwork in the main auditorium will be in golden oak and in the Sunday-school room will be a softer wood with a corresponding finish. fin-ish. The balcony will be furnished vith opera chairs. It is expected to have at least the Sunday-school room of the church ready for services by April 1. The congregation Is now holding services in the Y. M. C. A, building. "The First Methodist church, nearing completion at Second South and Second East, streets, will be one of the handsomest hand-somest In the city. The grounds, the building and a splendid pipe organ will represent an investment of $75,000. The exterior of the church Is of yellow brick and sandstone.
