Show HAROLD NIELSEN i NOMINATED FOR JAYCEE PREXY At the regular semi-monthly meeting of the Bingham Canyon junior chamber of commerce held Monday evening, nominations for officers to serve during 1945-46 were made by the nominating committee. Harold W Nielsen, principal of the Bingham Cen tral school and Jaycee treasurer the past year, was nominated I president. Other nominees in- ! eluded: Eddie Arata, vice president; presi-dent; Elmo A. Nelson, secretary treasurer; Bob Jimas, state director; di-rector; Bruce Ivie Jr., chairman board of directors; Herb Bab-cock, Bab-cock, Tom Carrigan, two-year directors; Frank Zaccaria, Joe Vranes, one-year directors. One vice president post remains to be filled. Election of officers will be held Monday, May 7- Jaycees discussed plans at the Monday meeting to entertain Utah state and United States Jaycee officers in Bingham on Friday, May 18. Present dans call for a noon luncheon, tour of Utah Copper company mine and a trip through an underground ! mine. Plans were made for the annual Jaycee Carnival dance to be held Saturday evening. May 26, at the Civic Center. President Bob Jimas is chairman in charge of this activity. Two committees were named to make plans for j the annual dance. They are as ' follows: tickets and promotion, Harold Nielsen, Elmo Nelson and Frank Zaccaria; concessions, Mr. ! Jimas, Dan Delaney and Eddie Arata. Eddie Arata, city beautifica- j tion chairman, reported that the Bingham Jaycees will be in charge of the annual Clean-up, Paint-up and Fix-up campaign to be held during the week ofj May 6-13. Plans for this project will be announced later. Mr. Arata also fjave a short talk on Jaycee activity. His talk was one of a series being given by Jaycees Jay-cees as part of a Jaycee education educa-tion program. o |
