Show PLANS FOR 1945 VFS XMAS BOOK WELL UNDERWAY Members of the committee, in charge of the 1945 Victory Flag Society Christmas book met Tuesday Tues-day evening and made plans for compiling and collection of pictures pic-tures to be used in this year's book. Committee chairmen have been selected in each locality in Bingham district to make a canvass can-vass for pictures of service men in their locality. Chairmen are as follows: Mrs. Mary Prowse Hatt, Lark; Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen, Knud-sen, Copperton; Mrs. Renold Maroon, lower Bingham; Mrs. E. J. Householder, upper Bingham; Stella Klopenstine, Copperfield, and Marie Azzelio, Highland Boy. These chairmen will collect pictures in their districts. A fee of $2.00 per picture is being collected col-lected to cover costs of engraving. engrav-ing. It is the desire of the committee com-mittee that as many books be purchased in advance this year as possible;. In this way the committee com-mittee will know how many books are needed- Each committeeman commit-teeman in a district will have tickets in duplicate. Anyone desiring de-siring to order a book in advance can purchase a ticket. When the books are off the press tickets can be turned in for books. All pictures used in last year's book will be used again this year without with-out cost. Deadline for pictures has been set for July 5, 1945. This year's book will be a tribute tri-bute to Bingham's fighting men. It is planned to make a section for each of the localities in the districts. In addition to servicemen's service-men's pictures, there will be photos of Bingham district organizations, or-ganizations, pictures of different scenes in the district and a list of all fighting Binghamites. Seaman 1 C Carlyle Carter was present at Tuesday s meeting and told- committeemen just how much the men in service appreciated appre-ciated the book put out in 1944. He said not only do the Bingham fellows like this type of book, but men from all other parts of the United States enjoyed reading read-ing the edition. He said, "by all means put out another book this year". |
