Show WOMEN LEADERS WAR BOND SALES FAVOR DISTRICT National and state leaders of women's division, Seventh war ; bond sales, were guests of local I chairmen Sunday in a tour of Bingham district and a buffet luncheon. W. Russell Anderson, chairman of war bond sales for the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh campaigns, arranged for a trip through Bingham-Copper-field tunnel, to U. S. Mines" and Galena, where the party viewed the mine from M-level. Later they stopped in Copperfield for a purchase of souvenirs. Luncheon Lunch-eon was served at the home of Mrs. E. V. Knudsen. Out-of-town visitors included Mabelle Blake, national chairman; chair-man; Mrs. O- A. Wiesley, state chairman; Mrs. James Wolfe. Mrs. C. L. Jack, Mrs. Warren H. Keate and Mrs. E. M. Bagley, all of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Knudsen was assisted in entertainment of the visitors by her co-chairman, Mrs. J. Lynn Booth of Bingham, and several of the following captains: Stella Klopenstme, Copperfield; Mrs. C. L. Austin, Highland Boy; Mrs. Elwood Johnson, Mrs. Elmo A Nelson, Mrs. C. W. Adderley, Mrs. Joseuh P. Scussel. Mrs. Al- 1 ma Mantle, Mrs. S. W. Jacques ! and Mrs. Sam Cabibi. Miss Blake and Utah leaders 1 left Copperton for a visit at Prove Pro-ve At a luncheon in Salt Lake Monday Mrs. Wiesley presented Miss Blake a lovely tray of Utah copper made by students at Brig , ham Young university. In her re- 1 sponse Miss Blake mentioned her , inspirational trip to Bingham and I her pleasure in the visit. In organizing for the Seventh war loan drive, Mrs. Knudsen says she is grateful for response received to requests for help and asks people of Bingham to greet house-to-house canvassers with friendly courtesy and plan now to do a share in putting the May 14-20 canvass over. |
