Show GIRL SCOUTS BEGIN CLASSES Training of Copperton Girl Scouts, organized last month under un-der auspices of the Study Guild, is underway with excellent progress pro-gress being reported by the committee com-mittee in charge: Mrs. H. L. Gar-rity, Gar-rity, chairman; Mrs. J. D. Lay-cock, Lay-cock, Mrs. V. S. Barlow, Mrs- K. L. Isbell, Mrs. L. S. Sumnicht and Mrs. L. F. Pett. Regular meetings were held as follows by groups listed: Monday evening the Intermediates Inter-mediates met at the home of Mrs-Garrity, Mrs-Garrity, with Scout Leader Har-riette Har-riette Atkinson. Colleen Man-nion, Man-nion, Austa Armitstead and Dar-lene Dar-lene Anderson were chosen patrol pa-trol leaders. Attending besides those mentioned were Patricia Ablett, Mary Ann DeCol, Ann DuBois, Janet Bolton, Sally Brown, Marjorie Parker, Lucille Zanardi, DeCarma Lancaster, Sandra Laycock, Vonda Mae Ol--sen, Nanette Santistevan, Bonnie Skinner, Shirley Sonne, Audrey Ann Sumnicht, Carol Gay Wing. Another section of Intermediates Intermedi-ates met at the home of Mrs. William Wil-liam Ablett with Scout Leader Maxine Gaythwaite. Mrs. Nona Carrigan attended to instruct the color guard. Selected as patrol leaders were Marlene Diederich and Donna Ray Olsen. Bonnie June Olsen, Donna Jean Gadd and Jerry Watkins make up the color guard and Lucille Peterson is secretary. Also present were Rhea Armitstead, Margy Isbell, Barbara Coward, Norma Cowdell, Patricia Colyar, Bonnie June Olsen, Shirley Mayne, Gerry Shilling, Maurine Ray. Third group of Intermediates met with Mrs- H. Smernoff. Elected patrol leaders were Aria Olsen and Geraldine Gammell. Karlene Wilson acts as secretary-treasurer secretary-treasurer and Mrs. W. A. Fike and Mrs. W. R. Gammell were chosen committee mothers. Yellow Yel-low was selected as color and yellow rose and daffodil as flowers. flow-ers. Besides those listed, included in the membership are Shirley Cheever, Maurine Peterson, Barbara Bar-bara Williams, Mary Garrity, Doris Poulsen, Patricia Whiteley, Mary Lynn Gaythwaite, Roslyn Hansen, MarGene Barlow, Patty Lee Fike, Helen Pearson and Marilyn Bolton. Brownies meet each Wednesday Wednes-day at seven o'clock with Scout Leaders Jean Jackson, Margaret Mannion Brown and Dorothy Hansen at the Copperton Grade school. Youngsters in this division divis-ion include Louise Stoker, Freddie Fred-die Fike, JaNell Hansen, Joyce Jackson, Joyce Farley, Sandra Archibald, Carolyn Stoddard, Ann Diederich, Gay Armitstead, Joan Carl, Verlene Peterson, Barbara Nix, Paddy Ann Redmond, Red-mond, JoAnn Huntsman, Beverly Bever-ly Ray, Jackie Dahlstrom, Jean Hausknecht, Betty Lou Bailey and Jackie Barnett. |
