PIONEER DIES Herbert Pembroke IDEA DEATH TH CLAIMS EARL i Herbert Pembroke Retired Business Man Dies in Ill Salt Lake Herbert Pembroke 81 retired Salt Lake City business man and founder of the Pembroke company died at athis his home 67 F street Thursday morning after a lingering illness Mr Pembroke was born in Bed Bcd lord ford England March 5 1853 a son of James E. E and Sarah Day Pem Pembroke Pembroke broke He went to New York City in 1866 1666 and two years later came to Utah He was m an early Utah printer working for several years as a compositor corn com on The Tribune Herald and Deseret News In 1883 he established what is now the Pembroke corn com party pany He was active in cIvic affairs for many cars and at one time was a member of the city council Surviving are his widow Mrs Sarah J. J Pembroke two sons Earl Earla R. R Pembroke and Adrian B. B Pembroke Pern- Pern broke all of Salt Lake City a brother broth broth- er S. S J.
