L Physician I IDies Dies at f Home Dr William Villiam Tenney Cannon 78 practicing physician in Salt Lake Lake- City more than 40 years and active active ac tive church worker died at his residence 2013 E. E South Saturday at 7 45 am a.m. after a lingering lingering lingering lin lin- lin- lin gering illness After graduating in medicine in Ph Philadelphia in 1898 he returned to Utah and practiced for a short I time in Brigham City He then I came came to Salt Lake City and practiced practiced practiced here most of the time since Born in Salt Lake He was born Sept 5 1870 in Salt Lake City a son of George Q QI and Eliza Tenney Cannon and attended the Brigham Young college college college col col- col- col lege Provo before going east to medical school He married Ada Y Croxall April 27 1892 in the Manti ManU temple Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter Saints Dr Cannon served many years in various L D S church leadership leadership leadership leader leader- ship capacities He served a mission mission mission mis mis- sion from 1899 to 1901 in Belgium and another mission to the Hawaiian Hawaiian Hawaiian Ha Ha- islands from 1915 to 1946 He practiced medicine until leaving leaving leaving leav leav- ing for his second mission and had been retired since that time He served at one time as bishop of Liberty L D S ward and while residing in Pasadena Cal from 1929 to 1931 he served as bishop of the L D S ward there A former member of Pioneer stake high council he was teacher in the high priest quorum in Park Avenue Avenue- L LD D S Sward ward Dr Cannon was a member of the Salt Lake County and Utah State Medical l associations and the Salt Lake Rotary club Surviving Kin Besides his widow he is survived by six sons and daughters Mrs Edwin C.
