Hinckley United States collector of internal revenue for Utah since July 1933 Wednesday reported he has submitted his resignation resignation res res- ignation and reports from Washington Washington Washington Wash Wash- ington D. D C C. indicated it has been accepted by the internal revenue collector Utah's congressional delegation previously recommended appointment appointment appointment appoint appoint- ment of William J. J Korth Salt Lake county clerk as successor to Mr Hinckley who said he expects to be released from his post within the next few weeks I haven't received word from rom Washington about the matter Mr Hinckley said but I r suppose Ill I'll be leaving here as soon as office affairs can be arranged As far as the resignation goes I left that matter up to certain individuals and they apparently put it through Mr Hinckley who still is re recuperating recuperating recuperating re- re after two operations is a former Millard county contractor contractor contractor con con- tractor and mining man and is an uncle of Robert H. H Hinckley assistant assistant assistant as as- secretary of commerce for air He has served as Fillmore postmaster and Millard county treasurer While he hasn't yet decided what I activity he will engage in when he leaves his collectors collector's post Mr Hinckley said he will not retire from business life |
