C at which Utah's part in a national registration registration tion ion drive was outlined It is believed there are at least workers in the nation nation nation na na- na- na tion who were skilled tradesmen who withdrew from trades for numerous reasons Mr Harris A ams said They should be back in inthe inthe inthe the labor market for the de defense ense program program The registration drive will end April 15 Mr Adams emphasized his of office office office of- of fice was concerned primarily with men particularly men particularly skilled workers who who are unemployed or who occupy positions of lesser importance importance importance tance than those for which they were trained The purpose of the drive he said is not to get a line on a aman aman aman man who is occupying a skilled position with a competing company company company com com- pany but to augment the known supply o of labor by bringing back into the field workers who have been forced out of their trades and those who have training but little or no opportunity to develop their talents Mr Mayer said that of registered unemployed in Utah 2393 are for occupations designated designated designated as vital to national defense Registration will be conducted at the 10 employment offices of the department at Salt Lake City Ogden Provo Logan Brigham City Midvale Price Cedar City Richfield and St. St George Workers Work Work- ers were urged to register every 30 days so their cards will be kept in the active file |
